পবিত্র কোরান শরিফ নিয়ে কবিতাটি লিখেছিলেন ভারতের প্রাক্তন রাষ্ট্রপতি ও হিন্দি ভাষার খ্যাতিমান কবি শঙ্কর দয়াল শর্মা। কবিতাটি পড়ে আমি বিস্মিত হয়েছি। লেখার প্রায় চার দশক পরেও এই কবিতার প্রাসঙ্গিকতা তো কমেই নি, বরং বেড়েছে বলেই মনে হয়। হায়! আমাদের মুসলমানদের কি করা উচিত ছিলো আর আমরা কি করছি। বোঝার সুবিধার্থে মূল কবিতার সাথে বাংলা তর্জমা দিলাম:

অয় মুসলমানোঁ, ইয়ে তুম নে ক্যা কিয়া?
