হাজ্জাজ বিন ইউসুফ এক শুক্রবারে খুতবা দেওয়ার উদ্দেশ্যে মিম্বরে আরোহণ করলেন। হঠাৎ তার মনে পড়ল তিনি অযু না করেই মসজিদে চলে এসেছেন। প্রচুরসংখ্যক মুসল্লীদের ভীড়। কঠিন লজ্জাজনক মুহুর্ত। তৎক্ষনাৎ তিনি তার গোলামকে ডেকে বললেন:—

أَحضِر آنية وماء لأُعَلِّم المصلين كيف كان يتوضأ رسول الله.

পাত্র করে পানি নিয়ে আসো। আমি মুসল্লিদের শিক্ষা দিবো যে, রাসুলুল্লাহ সা. কিভাবে অযু করতেন।

শুনলাম,
রমযান মাসেও প্রাইমারী স্কুলগুলো খোলা। স্কুলের ছাত্র-ছাত্রীরা এই একটি মাসেই ব্যাপকভাবে কুরআন শিক্ষার সুযোগ পায়। এখন যদি এই মাসটিতেও তারা কুরআন শিক্ষা থেকে বঞ্চিত হয় তাহলে আর কবে কুরআন বিশুদ্ধভাবে শিখবে?

কুরআন শিক্ষার উপর অন্যান্য বিদ্যাকে যে দেশে প্রাধান্য দেয়া হয় সে দেশে শান্তি কিভাবে আসবে!? আল্লাহ সবাইকে সহীহ সমঝ দেন।

তাওবার পর, ছেড়ে আসা গুনাহটি সহজ করে দিয়ে, তাওবাটা ‘নাসুহা (বিশুদ্ধ)’ হয়েছে কি না, আল্লাহ তাআলা পরীক্ষা করে দেখেন।

Now the word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.” Then I said, “Ah, Lord God!
